Hi there! I’m Anshul, a technology leader driven with a passion and experience for building massive-scale systems and empowering the engineers who run them.
My journey took root over a decade at Amazon, where I eventually served as a Principal Software Development Engineer. In that time, I had the privilege of architecting Exabyte-scale data analytics systems that powered $50B+ Amazon Ads business and leading diverse, cross-functional teams consisting of dozens of software, data, and ML engineers.
The "Bar Raiser" Experience
Beyond the code, I’ve always been deeply committed to the "human" side of engineering. As an Amazon Bar Raiser, I conducted over 400 interviews across the industry—evaluating everyone from Junior to Senior Devs and Senior People, Project and Product Managers. This experience taught me that hiring isn't just about finding talent; it’s about nurturing it. I truly believe that the best systems are built by people who are motivated and constantly encouraged to grow.
From Big Tech to Bold Ideas
When I decided to leave Amazon, it was to step out of my comfort zone and build products that people truly love. My entrepreneurial path actually started quite playfully—developing games and niche software. During that time, I found myself helping friends navigate their own career shifts through calibrated mock interviews.
I started experimenting with Generative AI to see if I could automate the "Bar Raiser" level of feedback I was giving my friends. What started as a side project turned into a revelation: GenAI is a game-changer for mastering system design and interview prep.
My Current Mission
Today, I am dedicated to launching a self-service, AI-driven platform that democratizes high-level system design learning and interview practice. I’m taking everything I learned at the highest levels of Big Tech and putting it into a tool that helps the next generation of engineers level up.
